Generating Leadership Capacity for Adaptability
Leadership is a state of being not limited by role or station…anyone can lead at any time and any level of an organization or community.
It is our fundamental belief that the answers to every organizational ‘problem’ are already available within the membership of the organization, the inherent collective wisdom. The trick is in getting folks engaged by building a community culture based on trust, respect, and respectful practices. Creating such a culture of authenticity is a major undertaking, is comprehensive, and emerges uniquely in any specific organization.
An effective leader provides psychological space for others to learn, but also physical space and resources for that learning to take place. Individual and group learning is a prerequisite for adaptation; the conditions for learning and for learning-to-learn need to be provided.
