Assessing Readiness for Change
Readiness is the “work to do the work”. Assessing readiness engages people in becoming aware of and expressing dissatisfaction along with recognizing the urgency for change in real time, real work.
Reflection on and making sense of current reality, as we each experience it, is essential for moving forward with any type of change. Readiness is people getting clear and aligned with fundamental values, and co-creating a picture of what success looks and feels like. This shared vision of “what’s better” or “what’s got to be different” opens the possibility for people to shift positions and make commitments towards contributing to their own and the collective future.
